6-week cohort starts Sept 23 • $50 off with PRESS50, ends Sept 14

The 6-Week Podcast Cohort for Therapists & Coaches

Stop Overthinking.

Start Podcasting.

You've probably already got three podcast name ideas saved in your Notes app, a rough sense of your first few episodes, and more research done than you'd ever admit to. Now it's six weeks of actually pressing record instead of planning to.

Built for therapists who've already extended their work into a coaching business and are ready for the next way to reach people — a podcast, launched with a clear path and a group who gets exactly why you've been stuck.

What's this course all about?

6 weeks · live + self-paced · bonus week 7 for Q&A and support

Cohort starts Sept 23 · Weekly live calls, Wednesdays at 1PM or 8PM EST

Same Session, Join whichever fits

If You're a Therapist or Coach, You Already Know

Your Voice Is Worth More Reach Than One Room at a Time

  1. You already made this leap once — from one-on-one sessions to a coaching business built to reach more people. Now you're bumping into the same ceiling again, just one floor up.

  2. You know a podcast means someone three states away could hear an episode and book a call by Friday — but "once things calm down" has been the plan for over a year.

  3. You've watched other therapists-turned-coaches launch a show and land clients no referral network would've ever sent them — while you're still deciding on a microphone.

  4. And here's the part nobody says out loud — recording your own voice and hitting publish is a different kind of hard when your whole career has trained you to hold space for other people's voices instead. No gear guide fixes that. That voice in your head asking "who am I to do this?" is the actual thing this course is built to work through.

Licensed Therapist (MSW) · EMDR Practitioner · Divorce Coach · Former Attorney

Hi, I'm Leslie Mathews.

Host of Pulling Threads — a podcast I procrastinated starting for over a year. I stopped waiting to feel ready and hit record in January 2025. My audience grew organically, my ideal clients started finding me without more ad spend, and podcasting became the thing that fed all my other marketing.

I built a coaching business to reach further than one-on-one sessions ever could. The podcast is what let that reach go further still. I don't think you need to be "podcast-perfect" to be worth listening to — you just need to start. Press Record is how I help you do that without wasting the year I wasted.

Why This Course Is Different

Most Podcast Courses Teach Tools. This Builds Confidence Through Action.

  1. You're never figuring it out solo — weekly live sessions where we troubleshoot together, so you see you're not the only one with questions.

  2. Confidence through doing, not just learning — one clear action every week. Small steps, real progress, decisions you don't have to make alone.

  3. We deal with why you've been stuck, not just how to work a microphone — the block was never really the tech.

  4. Simple, not overwhelming — one focus per week. No tech spirals, no decision fatigue, just the next clear step.

  5. When you start second-guessing yourself — and you will — there's a community and a coach right there, not just your own head.

  6. You will actually launch — this isn't prep work or theory. This is you, recording and publishing, in 6 weeks.

BEFORE YOU COMPLETE THIS

Questions Worth Answering First

"Who am I to do this? I'm not an expert on podcasting."

You don't need to be an expert on podcasting — you're already an expert on what you'll actually talk about. That's the harder, more valuable half. This course handles the rest.

"How much time will this actually take each week?"

One live call a week (recorded if you can't make it live), pre-recorded training you move through on your own schedule, and one clear action before the next session.

"I already have a coaching business. Do I really need a podcast too?"

Your coaching business found its people one at a time. A podcast is how it reaches the next hundred, without changing anything about the work you already do.

"What if I miss a live session?"

Every call is recorded, so you're never locked out for missing a live session. The live call is where troubleshooting happens in real time, but nothing about your progress depends on being there live.

"What if I'm still not sure this is the right time?"

That's usually the tech-spiral talking, not an actual scheduling conflict. The cohort format exists so you don't have to figure out timing alone — bring the uncertainty to week 1, that's what it's for.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to have my podcast idea totally figured out before joining?

No. And honestly, I don’t want you to.

Most people get stuck because they think they need clarity first and action second. In this course, clarity comes through doing.

Week 2 is where we shape your podcast identity and voice—without boxing you in or forcing a niche that doesn’t fit.

You don’t need a perfect idea to start. You need a place to explore it safely.

I’m not very tech-savvy. Is this going to be overwhelming?

If tech were the deciding factor, I never would’ve started my own podcast.

I break everything down step-by-step and explain why we’re doing what we’re doing—not just how. If you can navigate email, Google Docs, and Zoom, you can do this.

And you’re not left alone to troubleshoot. The live sessions and community are there specifically for those “wait… I’m stuck” moments.

How much time will this actually take each week?

On average, about 2–3 hours per week.

That includes:

Watching the pre-recorded training

Attending (or catching the replay of) the live session

Taking the next small action

This is designed for people with full caseloads and real lives—not endless free time.

What if no one listens to my podcast?

This is one of the biggest fears—and it makes sense.

But here’s the reframe: you’re not starting a podcast to be famous. You’re starting it to be findable and to speak directly to the people who need your work.

Even a small audience can:

Build trust faster than social media

Feed your other marketing

Lead to ideal clients, referrals, and opportunities

You don’t need thousands of listeners. You need resonance.

Do I have to do video?

Nope. Audio-only podcasts are absolutely valid.

We talk about video as an option, not a requirement. You get to decide what feels supportive for your nervous system and your life right now.

This course is about helping you show up sustainably—not forcing yourself into a format you resent.

Can I really launch in 6 weeks?

Yes—if you follow the process.

The structure is intentional, the steps are realistic, and the goal is clear: a live podcast by the end of the program.

This isn’t about perfection. It’s about momentum.
